The Teen Choice Awards featured a powerful and poignant tribute to victims of gun violence.
Jessica Alba and Ne-Yo were joined onstage by teens who have lost family members due to gun violence across the US, including Alton Sterling's son and families that have been affected by the mass shootings in Aurora, Dallas, Orlando, and Sandy Hook.
The teen's announced their names and the name of their family members as photos flashed behind them.
Ne-Yo then performed a touching rendition of Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On."
Following the performance, Ne-Yo, Alba, and the teens gathered on stage to encourage viewers to take a stand against gun violence by using the hashtag #StopTheViolence on their social media pages.
"These teens had the courage to come here and share their grief and take a stand, and tonight, Ne-Yo and I and all of us here and all of you watching need to do the same," Alba said as she became emotional and was moved to tears.
Ne-Yo added, "We need to come together as one ... we have to do better."
